Recycling
![]()
As a modern day Glasgow paper shredders, we know the importance of recycling and all our waste is 100% recycled, people often ask us what we do with their shredded paper after it’s processed in our mobile shredding trucks, and we’re willing to tell you. We take all that shredded material and compact it into bales using our advanced baling machines. These bales are then shipped off to a paper mill in Scotland, where they’re stored in a secure area. After that, they’re loaded onto a conveyor and sent into a Hydropulper, where they’re mixed with water to create a slurry. This slurry goes through a four-stage screening process to filter out metals, plastics, polythene, and any other pollutants. Once it’s cleaned up, the slurry is turned into tissue that can be made into various low-grade products like blue roll, toilet paper, and kitchen roll.
We also recycle all of our cardboard waste which gets put through a similar process with our baling equipment. Our media waste on the other hand is slightly different, We take all the shredded media waste, along with any non-data components, to a local registered Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) facility. At this facility, the waste undergoes a meticulous sorting process, where it is categorized into various streams based on material type. This includes separating metals, plastics, and batteries, among other materials. Each of these streams is then processed accordingly to ensure complete recycling.
